From observing animal behaviour to the touching performance of the sea lions, the visit to Taronga Zoo in Sydney is a reflection on the distance between humans and animals, the nature of display and the possibilities of education. It is a journey full of curiosity and contradiction.

Continuing from my previous post on my overall impressions of Taronga Zoo, this time I would like to talk about the experience of my visit from a perspective closer to the visitors and staff, sharing a few of my observations in the zoo that are worth borrowing from, including observations and recommendations on ticketing, interactions between zoo staff and visitors, and reflecting on the relationship between service and culture that I have observed in the workplace.

As a staff member of a zoo in NSW, Australia, I visited Taronga Zoo for the first time, which is a famous zoo in the first row of Sydney Sea View. I found that I have a different perspective and mindset when visiting the zoo, and I would be distracted by things other than exploring the wonders of the animals. But I'm still the same person who gets anxious when I see an animal pacing back and forth, and the same person who marvels at its intelligent dexterity. This post is divided into three parts: the first, the middle, and the second. It is generally a travelogue, but it is more of an observation and a reflection. In this post (the first one), we will learn more about the historical Taronga Zoo and share some zoo observations from the perspective of the author, who is currently an administrative receptionist at the zoo!

The Swell Season's new song 'Stuck In Reverse' brings back memories of 'Once upon a time, love was the only thing'. Love is the only thing". The songs and regrets in the film have now become precious souvenirs in my heart. Those brief moments of listening and understanding, like the melodies of the guitar and piano in the film, accompanied me through those years I temporarily called youth. The regrets that I only understood back then are now the bravest and most sincere blessings, timeless and profound.

Working holiday on a farm in Tasmania, he was unexpectedly blessed with a sense of peace and clarity in the midst of a pandemic. Old Number 7' became a symbol of youthful extravagance, worry and freedom. Even when I was far away from home and the future was uncertain, the music, the labour and the encounters became a musical story that allowed me to remember myself as an intoxicated and happy person.
